R.S. Puram Police station in the city has received the rare distinction of being one of the best-managed stations in the nation for the year 2017. The police station received the best police station award from Home Minister Rajnath Singh at a function held in Border Security Force Academy in Kanpur.
Selected as the best police station on parameters of crime prevention, investigation and retrieval of burgled goods, water harvesting and hygienic conditions the station has emerged as one of the top stations for its best practices in policing.
The inspector of Police station received the award on behalf of the Police station from the Home Minister at All India Conference of Director Generals and Inspectors Generals held at Kanpur.
