After the nostalgic launch of the 10th edition of 'Coimbatore Vizha' on Coimbatore day, November 24, the much-awaited double takkar bus was flagged off today from the VOC grounds.
Dignataries, K.Periah, Commissioner of Police, Dr.K.Vijayakarthikeyan, Corporation Commissioner, K. Sujith Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (traffic) and Vanitha Mohan, Managing Trustee of Siruthuli took part in the flag off.
"This double takkar bus would be operated to take people to iconic locations in the city. This year's Vizha' will host a series of events like kolam competitions to street arts to pool in people of all walks of life to celebrate and pay tribute to Coimbatore", said Prasanna Krishna, Chair of Yi Coimbatore Chapter.
