Anganwadi workers demand wage hike

Demanding pay hike and promotional opportunities to over 300 Anganwadi workers, who are the members of Tamil Nadu Anganwadi Workers' Association, demonstrated today in front of the Collectorate.

Demanding pay hike and promotional opportunities to over 300 Anganwadi workers, who are the members of Tamil Nadu Anganwadi Workers' Association, demonstrated today in front of the Collectorate.



Led by Jothi Gandhi, district president of the association, the agitating employees said that uniform pay package, which is in vogue, should be changed and promotions given to them on the basis of seniority.

They also demanded filling up of vacancies at various Anganwadis in the district.
