Family members of the people involved in a bus accident near L&T bypass, staged a road roko against the private bus owner for refusing to bear the medical expenses, stalling the traffic. Later they withdrew the protest.
The private bus bound for Ukkadam from Kallapalayam early in the morning collided with a lorry near L&T bypass allegedly because of overspeeding. As a result, the driver was seriously hurt in the leg and the 20 passengers also sustained serious injuries. The injured were admitted to the nearest private hospital for treatment. The bus owner, who visited the hospital, was requested by the family members to bear the expenses. When the owner refused to do so, the family members immediately staged a road roko. Consequently, the traffic from Chinthamanipudhur to Sulur was disrupted.

The Sulur Police arrived at the spot and eased the situation. The relatives withdrew the protest and later dispersed.
