The residents of Covai Garden, Chettipalayam, thronged the Collectorate here today with empty water pots seeking water.
Around 55 families live in Covai Garden in DTCP approved plots. Despite the existence of underground pipes for water supply, the residents are yet to receive water connection. Repeated pleas to the Chettipalayam Panchayat have fallen on deaf ears, according to the petition. In order to highlight their misery, the residents assembled at the Collectorate with empty pots.
