Coimbatore, Dec 8
Christmas is every child’s favourite festival, for the reasons we all know. It brings in the magical optimism to life with the Santa bringing in the bounty the kids fervently hope for. The entire festivity is welcomed with melodious carols, the dream weaving stories and the joy of sharing and caring.
The fervour of Christmas has already begun in the City, irrespective of the faiths one believes in, every child is enthusiastic about the Christmas Carnival to meet his Santa and get his share of gifts for being the good boy he was over the year.
The carnivals are usually a fun-filled affair for both the parents and the children, with a myriad of engaging activities, sumptuous food and lots of exquisite stalls to buy from.
Teeming Turtles a Preschool, established four years ago, is organising its second Christmas Carnival, in association with Women’s Centre, educational partner Samhita Academy and unusually partners with Moms of the school.
“The mothers are an integral part of our learning and teaching pattern. They know the child better than anyone else; so this time I have associated the mothers in organising the games, coming with ideas to make the event dynamically active and in doing up the decor,” stated Tejal Sangani, the founder of the school.
She feels that every mother has an innate talent in her, but in her motherhood most mothers fail to discover their latent potential. Through the school events she involves the mothers to become the integral part of decision-making and implementation because the school is made up of not just the teachers and the children but the parents too. When all this works in tandem does the child flourish.
The carnival is an open to all entry, happening on December 10 in Saibaba Colony 8th Cross.

For the first time ever the carnival brings in Drum Jamming to unite the crowd with one activity of generating music with available instruments, a flash mob dance by the kids, along with regular activities like Tambola, magic show, intriguing games and more.
The mothers can indulge in exotic shopping of Ayurvedic oils, organic clothing stalls, in house plants, crochet home wares, handmade soaps and that’s not all.
To make the tummy happy, there is a stall of wood burnt pizzas that has no maida, zero preservative naturally made ice creams by Frooze, lots of desserts to indulge in and a photo booth with the Santa as your selfie partner.
So if you are wondering what to do this Sunday with your kids, just join in for the not-to-be missed Christmas Carnival at Teeming Turtles that’s filled with fun, family bonding, engaging games and more.
