Due to the railway gate maintenance work, the Ganapathy-Avarampalayam road will remain closed from tomorrow. Hence, motorists are advised to use alternative routes.
However, a release issued by the city traffic police does not mention the probable date of re-opening of the road for public use. Since, the Ganapathy-Avarampalayam is a pivotal road that connects the Avinashi road, the closure of this road could lead to enormous traffic congestion, feel the commuters.
