Two college students drown in Bhavani


Coimbatore, Dec 5

Two college students were drowned when they were bathing in the Bhavani on Monday.

Gugan (20) and Gokulraj (20) from Annur went to bathe in the river near Pazhathottam area in Sirumugai.

As the duo had not returned until night, their parents and relatives went in search of them. All they could find was only the bikes, cell phones and clothes on the river bed.

When the police was alerted, a rescue team swung into action. They retrieved the body of Gugan 3 km away from the spot where their bikes were parked. The body of Gokulraj is yet to be retrieved.

Investigation is on.
