Bison gores man in Coonoor

Coimbatore, Dec 4

A man suffered considerable injuries after he was attacked by an adult bison this morning at Coonoor.

Muniyandi (57), a resident of Glendale area in Coonoor, came out of his house in the morning. Due to heavy mist and drizzle, he did not notice the bison that was standing right on his frontyard. In a jiffy, the bison attacked him and fled the spot.

His neighbours admitted him to the government hospital in Coonoor. The residents of Glendale have requested the forest officials to chase off these wild animals into the deep forests to avoid such eventualities.
