MLA to sue city administration, police dept

DMK MLA N. Karthik is planning to sue the city administration, and police department for their failure to implement Madras High Court's order to remove all banners and structures in the city.

Describing the failure of the corporation in this regard as “highly condemnable", Mr. Karthik, MLA of Singanallur consituency, said here today that he would move the High Court with "all required evidence".

He also wondered whether permission had been sought to erect former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's statue near Anna statue?

It may be recalled that the PIL against these banners were filed by him for which the HC ruled in his favour.
