CPI (M) to support DMK in RK Nagar by-poll

Coimbatore. Nov. 30

"We will support DMK in the upcoming RK Nagar poll. DMK's thumping victory will teach a fitting lesson to BJP and AIADMK", asserted G. Ramakrishnan, State Secretary of CPI (M).

Speaking to the press here, he said that the BJP's "mind games and efforts to set their foot in Tamil Nadu" will always go futile, he added.

He also welcomed the Madras High Court's order to remove all flex and banners installed by AIADMK in connection with MGR centenary celebrations.

"The State Government should intervene and stop the closure of Sugarcane Breeding Institute, Coimbatore printing press and the shifting of the Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Project Tiger) office from Coimbatore to Chennai", he added.
