Around eight school students and a teacher sustained severe injuries after the share auto they were travelling in toppled near Arasur here on Friday.

According to reports, due to lack of bus facility in Thennampalaym area, students are forced to use private mini buses and share autos for commuting to schools. Unfortunately, today a share auto that was over loaded with passengers, most of them students, toppled, near Arasur power station.
The public who witnessed the accident rescued the passengers and sent them by ambulances to private and government hospitals. Presently, all the injured are undergoing treatment at the CMCH.
Following the accident, the public from Thennampalaym lament that due to lack of bus facility people are forced to travel through mini buses and autos that are always over-loaded. Atleast after this accident, will the authorities concerned make necessary arrangements to add more buses here? they questioned.
