Among the several initiatives carried out by the Election Commission to create awareness among young voters and enable them to participate in the voting process, a‘National Election Quiz’ for students has been organised to empower the future voters.
According to an official release, 106 students from 53 schools will be representing Coimbatore district at the district quiz competition to be held here. The winners from the districts will qualify to take part in the state level competitions. And, those who emerge as winners from state-level will vie for honours at the national-level competition hosted by the Election Commission.
The 106 students are from government, aided and private schools, said the release.
