Popular actor Vijay, who visited the house of Ariyalur Anita, at her village paid his tributes to her portrait and consoled her parents.
Vijay, accompanied only by his close friends, chose to visit the remote village to pay his homage to the departed young student, who had resorted to the extreme step of ending her life after her hopes of joining a medical college were dashed.
Vijay arrived without any fanfare and met the family members and consoled them.
It may be noted that Vijay through is fan club, Vijay Makkal Iyakkam is supporting social causes and his visit to the bereaved family of Anitha is well received by his fans.
Though Senior Actors Rajinikanth and Kamal Hassan have expressed their condolence through the social media, Actor Vijay's thought of visiting Anitha's family in person has been receiving appreciations.
