Condemning against the violence unleashed on Rohingya Muslims, a minority Muslim community in Myanmar, Tamilnadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam (TMMK) staged an agitation here.

“Over 2.70 lakh refugees have fled Mynamar and  so far as thousands of houses of Rohingya people have been torched by the rioters. Even as there is a mass exodus of the community from the country they have sought asylum in West Bengal in India", said Khader Hussain, Treasurer of TMMK..

Blaming the Myanmar Army and Buddhist majority for the ethnic violence perpetrated against the minorities, Khader Hussain said that both Amnesty International, a global human right body and UNO have condemned the brutality staged against the  minority community by the Myanmar Government, headed by Aug San Su Chi, a noble laureate for Peace.
