TTV Dinakaran, the sidelined Deputy General Secretary of AIADMK (Amma) accompanied by the MLAs and MPs supporting him met TN Governor Vidyasagar Rao today.
TTV Dinakaran who is locked in a power struggle with Chief Minister Edapadi K Palanismay met with the Governor around 12.45 pm and demanded to remove Chief Minister Edapadi Palanisamy from his post and appoint someone else in his place.
It may be recalled that 18 TN legislators supporting Dinakaran were made to stay in a resort in Pondicherry to avoid horse trading as the present government has lost a simple majority with only 111 legislators supporting it.
Since then Dinakaran camp MLAs met the Governor and submitted a letter withdrawing their support to the present government, it was expected that a no confidence motion would be tabled in the floor of the assembly.
However, political observers say a sword is hanging over Edapadi Palanisamy led Government who could lose to prove the majority with 20 MLAs supporting Dinakaran as of now.
