Students stage road roko in Hopes signal, traffic blocked.


Tense situation prevailed ​in Peelamedu, Hopes College as the members of the Student Federation Of India (SFI) staged an unprecedented road roko demanding NEET exemption for Tamilnadu. 



Traffic was blocked for close to an hour as the students blocked the road and raised slogans against the central and state governments alleging them for acting against the welfare of the students community.

Seeking justice for Anitha, the student who took the extreme step due to NEET, the protesting students questioned if the governments' can bring back her to life and also alleged that NEET has killed the dreams of several Anithas'. 



The police warned the students to withdraw the roko but however the students denied to leave the place which led to a scuffle between them. The police at last had to forcefully clear the protest by arresting the protestors.
