To augment drinking water supply in Erode town, the government is implementing 508 cr. scheme for which foundation has been laid in June 2017. The scheme would be brought to the utility of the people soon said Chief minister Edapadi Palanisamy.

Addressing the Bharat Ratna MGR centenary celebrations organized at Erode the CM said that the government has plans to implement Rs. 239 crore integrated water supply scheme, for the benefit of 8 panchayats and 993 villages in the district..

The renovation of 30 system tanks and other vital water bodies have been taken up to recharge ground water in the region and Rs.58 crores have been allotted for a new fly over at Government hospital junction in the city for which the work has commenced.

State ministers, MLAs took part in the function.
