The student activist Valarmathi of Periyar University Salem, who has been jailed under the provisions of Goondas act is all set to be a free bird, following a High Court verdict, which quashed the order.
The two judge bench of Justice Ponnusamy and Kalaiarasan of High Court which heard the writ petition filed by Mathaiyan, father of Valarmathi had revoked the preventive arrest and detention of Valarmathi under Goondas act by Tamilnadu Government.
