SDPI cadres stage rail roko demanding NEET exemption, effigies of PM and CM burnt.


The SDPI party cadres staged a rail roko in front of Coimbatore North Railway station condemning the State and Central Governments, for the suicide of Anita, the medical students who  committed suicide under duress after her hopes of joining a medical college were shattered.



The agitators blocked the Chennai -Mangalore express train and sought permanent NEET exemption and raised slogans against the government for abutting the suicide of poor girl. 



As the protesters denied to withdraw their protests, the police arrested them and cleared the bedlam. Tense situations prevailed in the railway station as the protestors got down on the train tracks and blocked an express train. 

ollowing the arrest, a group of SDPI members also staged an unprecedented road roko in front of the City Corporation. The protest was led by former councillor of 82nd ward Mohammed Saleem. 



The agitators also burnt the effigies of the PM Modi, CM Edapadi Palanisamy and expressed their fury against NEET.
