In memory of Anitha, the medical aspirant who committed suicide under duress, the District DMK Party Members led by North Constituency In-charge, Muthusamy and Youth Wing President, Kottai Abbas, around 150 cadres took part in the mourning rally, this evening.
The rally that commenced from District DMK Party Office in Vada Kovai on Mettupalayam Road, passed through prominent junctions and reached Sivanandha Colony. The members then paid floral tribute and observed silence to Anitha's photo. Public also paid their respect for the departed soul.
During the rally the cadres raised slogans alleging state and central governments to take responsibility for Anitha's death.
