Like in other parts in the state, a chain of protests by various political and non-political organisations are being staged in Coimbatore seeking justice for Anitha, the medical aspirant who took the extreme step as NEET hindered and shattered her medical dreams.

DMK, TPDK, VCK, Campus front of India, Coimbatore Lawyer's Association (social justice), Pro-Jallikattu supporters, Naam Tamilar Katchi, Makkal Adhigaram are some of the organisations who have raised their voice for the poor student Anitha who died in duress.

At all the protests, the protestors condemned the state and the central government for acting against their own citizens and claiming the lives of such aspirants. Citing examples, the protestors said starting from Rohit Vemula, the students' death in this government reign is a shame for the entire nation. The proposals put forth by the BJP Government will always end detrimental to the state of Tamil Nadu as they intend to do so, alleged the protestors.

Quoting the state administrators as puppeteers the agitators said whipping the student's back in the name of anti-student proposals like NEET has cost the life of an aspirant, who fought hard to become a doctor.
