Claiming that the contribution of women was most needed in entrepreneurship in the country in the near future, Nara Lokesh, Minister for Information Technology, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development of the Government of Andhra Pradesh said that their roles would be very important in the days to come.
Talking at the Entrepreneur of the Year – 2017 award function organised by Entrepreneurs Organisation of Coimbatore here in the city on Wednesday, Nara Lokesh said that the way of thinking by business women would largely provide positive results.

“Women run our lives very efficiently day in and out, they have also proved as a tremendous value to any type of business,” he said.
Calling for a problem solving strategy among entrepreneurs of the country for a successful campaign, Lokesh also said that demonetisation was a huge opportunity to them.
“Cash transaction took a toll during the period and if people had used online transaction process well, it could have proved to good business,” he opined.
The minister also claimed that entrepreneurs should see every crisis as an opportunity, quoting the positive effects of such thinking by the Government of Andhra Pradesh during periods of crisis.
“Commit to the market and consumers to succeed in business. There is no replacement of hard work. Entrepreneurs should be generators of wealth and economic activities,” he emphasized.

Meanwhile, P. Nataraj, Managing Director of KPR Mills limited was awarded the Established Entrepreneur of the Year award.

While T. Rangaraj, Chief Executive Officer of Madhampatti Thangavelu Hospitality private limited won the Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year award, Ranjana Singhal, Partner of the Terra Co (That’s Y Foof/ On The Go) won the Woman Entrepreneur of the Year award.
