The date for obtaining license for setting of temporary cracker shops in rural areas of the District in view of the forth coming Diwali celebrations (October 18) has been extended to August 21 and the applicants should apply for the same in the prescribed format said, District Collector T.N.Hariharan.
In a press release issued here the Collector has said that the city police would scrutinize the application thoroughly and grant permission accordingly. No cracker shops would be allowed to function on road sides the commissioner has stated.
