City Police Commissioner A.Amalraj and District Collector T.N.Hariharan inspected the archives in the old District Collectorate campus.

The Police Commissioner showed personal interest in renovating Hamilton club, a Colonial Period Police Club and establishing a police museum in it.

The vital old records concerning functioning of police department during colonial days and after independence are kept in the archives, which the Commissioner wanted to transfer it to the museum, sources said.

The Commissioner interacted the employees of the archives and inquired about various police records kept in the archives.
