It was caught in Tiruvallur
The Guindy Children’s Park has a new attraction. It is now home to a white cobra, which was accidentally caught by snake catchers in Tiruvallur on Thursday.
Rare find
“It is very rare to find such snakes, and it is the first time this park has had a reptile such as this,” said Mohan, a forest ranger.
For several albino animals, such as cobras, the colour of their skin can be life-threatening and makes them vulnerable to predators. They require protection since they are rarely found.
The cobra’s entry to the park has garnered a lot of attention from the public, who have come in large groups to see the reptile.
“The snake was a hit among everyone who came here to see the animals. We are expecting more people to come,” the ranger said.
