Over 90 anti-TASMAC protesters arrested for staging road blockade

Over 90 anti-TASMAC protestors of Sowripalayam were arrested, when they staged a road blockade protesting and demanding to shift out 4 TASMAC outlets functioning in the area.

The protestors, who staged a road blockade with black flags argued that four TASMAC outlets are situated in Karunanidhi nagar, Car Street, Kallarai Street and G.V Residency which has become big nuisance to the public. The said outlets function all the 24 hours and tipplers throng the place round the clock, they alleged.

Earlier appeals and protests to relocate these TASMAC outlets only fell on deaf ears they complained.
