Widespread rainfall in Coimbatore district; Cinchona records the maximum of 148 mm

Cinchona recorded the maximum rainfall of 148 mm followed by Chinnakallar which received 142 mm in Coimbatore district. While Pollachi received 30 mm, Valparai received 60 mm and Valparai taluk office 62 mm.

Tamilnadu Agriculture University recorded 5 cm and Perianaickenpalayam 2 cm.

According to rain statistics from National Informatics Centre, the total rainfall recorded in Coimbatore District is 449mm and the average rainfall is put at 37.2 on Tuesday.
