292 motorist booked in a drive against drunk-driving in the city

City Traffic Police in recent drive taken to curb drunk- driving in the city have booked 292 motorists including two wheeler drivers, for driving in an inebriated condition. Recommendations were made to respective RTO offices to cancel the driving licenses of these offenders.

The city police commisinerate in a press communique has noted that traffic police men have carried out checks and sniff tests in various junctions across the city, and 292 motorists were found to be operating their vehicles after consuming too much of alcohol. The blood levels of alcohol of these motorists were found to be very high. The drive was carried out on June 10-12

A recommendations have been made to cancel the driving licenses of these motorists who were found to be driving their vehicle in an inebriated condition, the press note further said.
