The much-awaited Southwest monsoon which was predicted to hit the region by June 10th has brought much jubilation among the people especially the farming community who claim the showers as their 'life saver'.
Adding more joy to the people, since yesterday, showers accompanied with chill breeze has been witnessed in most parts of the district of Coimbatore. While, Valparai estate regions experienced persistent showers through the day, Pollachi, Udumalpet and suburbs of Coimbatore received decent monsoon showers.
Residents of this region are very hopeful that this climate change is positive, unlike last year.
