“Milked from healthy Cows every morning and milk delivered at your doorstep ontime everytime” is what we follow as a work ethic in Fresh Moos, says Dhiraj who is delighted as his organic products are doing well in the market.

“As milk production of dairy unit come under cloud A2 milk has been moving fast in the city” Dhiraj said.
SimpliCity caught up with Dhiraj Krishnasamy to know more about his start- up journey and some facts about A2 milk.
"I completed my under graduation in production engineering from PSG College of Technology, only recently. I was always fascinated by the cows as I have the opportunity to grow up seeing cows in farmlands. While I was studying in college I started procuring milk from people who were supplying A2 milk and delivered it in the city. I was kind of dependent on them for the supply but I always wanted to do something on my own. So I got some Desi cows from Karur and few cross- bred cows and started my own brand Fresh Moo's. At Fresh Moo's our USP is unique as we ourselves produce the feed for the cows. We produce Azolla and Hydroponics fodder. These two fodders are grown organically and are highly nutritious for the cows and in turn making its milk of high nutrient value. We are one of the leading producer of these feeds.

Normal milk available in the market are pasteurized and also consists of thickening agents which if regularly consumed leads to many health issues. On other hand A2 milk is rich in nutrients without any additives and preservative or coloring agent’s. The Desi cow milk has amino acids making the proteins in milk easily digestible. Apart from that it helps in metabolism with high antioxidants. It also reduces joint pains and prevent heart disease. At present we have 5 Desi cows producing 45 liters of milk, and 24 cross breed cows giving 180 liters of milk. We supply 1 liter and 1/2 liter bottles with the pricing of Rs.90 per liter" says Dhiraj.

When asked about how people received this concept of A2 milk and his future plan, he shares “Being a tier 2 city I did not have much competition in this field. But bringing in people was bit difficult as people were skeptical about the pricing as its double the price of packet milks. We started giving them free samples for tasting. So people became aware about the nutrient values of A2 milk and they liked the product so demand has gone up. Right now we are catering to around 50 customer. I have planned to have one more farm with 20 more cows so as to cater all parts of city."
