Temporary Sanitary workers who are serving in City Corporation has petitioned District Collector TN Hariharan, demanded that a minimum wages of Rs.304 per day, asbe given to them as fixed earlier by the district administration itself.
The workers who work on contract basis in malaria eradication wing of the civic body, have said that the corporation continues to pay them Rs.200 against the minimum fixed wages. The sanitary wokers also demanded that other benefit such EPFe b given to them.
