The less than 20 year old Tusker, which attacked and killed four people including a 13- year old Girl Gayathiri, has been tranquilized and taken Varagaliyar elephant camp in Topslip.
With the help of forest Vetenarians Dr. Manoharan and Dr. Asokan the rogue elephant has been tranquilised and transported to Varagaliyar camp for rehabilitation.
The forest department has pressed into service trained Kumkis including Pari, Sujay, Mariapan and Kalim to capture the rogue elephant, which has taken shelter in Vellalore forest areas. The operation has been a successful one said forest officials.
