The rising inflation would pose long-term problem for the common man- Prakash Karat, CPM Poliburo Member

Alleging that recent notification against cow slaughter is not only anti-democratic, but it also amounted to interfering in the rights of the states in a federal set up like India said Prakash Karat, CPM Politburo member.

The Communist Party of India (Marxist) would strive hard to make the Centre to withdraw the notification and put pressure on the Government he said.

Prakash Kart who is in the city to take part in CPM State Political Committee meeting, while briefing the media said that the rising inflation level in the country would pose long-term problems for the country, and the prices of essential commodities have sky - rocketed and the people will soon realize the pressures of inflation on the common man.

While talking about the forthcoming Presidential poll Karat said “We have urged the Centre to consult all parties before announcing the candidate for Presidential polls and the party would take a call on that based on the actions of the Centre".

“Various issues affecting the state of Tamilnadu would be deliberated in the political committee meeting by the leaders of the party which being held in the city” Karat said.
