G.Ramakrishnan flays BJP Governement for anti-people policies

Alleging that the he present AIADMK Government has failed to oppose anti-people policies  of the Centre, G. Ramakrishanan, and CPM State Secretary said that the BJP Government at the Centre has failed in all fronts in the past three years.

G. Ramakrishanan, who is in the city to take part in State Committee meeting of his party said the Centre has taken anti-people measures including notification against cow slaughter. Alleging that the BJP is trying to find its feet in the State using the faction -fight in AIAMK, he said that anti-cow slaughter law is not only against farmers but it is also usurping the rights of state he said.

Blaming BJP for foisting a case on Suraj, an IIT Madras student for hosting a beef party, Ramakrishnan said that the BJP does not have the political culture of respecting the opponent’s views.

“Instead of taking action against mercenaries and the police who break hands of the protestors, the Government is foisting cases on people for protesting in a democratic fashion “Ramakrishna said.

The Government should extend Mahatma Gandhi Rural Employment Guarantee scheme to the town panchayat limits as it would benefit the poorer sections. He also said that the law and order has deteriorated in the past six months in the state.
