The district unit of DMK staged a demonstration in front of taluk office condemning against the City Corporation for laxity in extending civic amenities and services.
Led by the Muthusamy, DMK Secretary the protestors alleged that civic works have been stalled in the past few months.“The roads have become impassable, and water supply system has gone for a toss as water is only supplied every 24 days in corporation limits” the protestors alleged
“When DMK was in power civic amenities like roads, street lights and water supply was extended without any disruption but the situation has changed now” the DMK men alleged.
Over 500 DMK cadres including women took part in the agition.
