Seema and Sunil, a husband-wife duo, started Untumble in the year 2012. Their journey began when one of their friends wanted to organize a theme based birthday party for her twins. When they went shopping, they were disappointed to see that the market did not have good supplies for such theme based parties. The duo ended up organising a splendid party with self made materials and mind mind boggling ideas. Today, they have supplied customized materials for more than 600 parties and specialize in planning baby showers, birthday parties, naming ceremonies, and sangeets based on the customers requirements.
"I was working in a private company and was trying my hand at various small time businesses as I knew business was something I had a flair for. Finally, we started Untumble in 2012. Sunil was working in an US based IT company. He would help me as and when time permitted, but the workload increased, and in 2014 Sunil joined me. We help people organise hassle free parties. Right from the invites to the return gifts, we customize everything according to the customer's needs. We all know how small kids are obsessed with celebrating their birthdays, so we make sure that the kid enjoys his special day by having his picture on the invite, name on the birthday hat or his photographs on the backdrop. This way, the birthday becomes a celebration, that too a memorable one. Most of the party supplies are designed and created in-house." said Seema Turkel.
"In 2012 we had a tough time breaking into the market and bringing in the concept, as it was relatively new in the markets of Coimbatore. Earlier people related birthdays just to balloons, today we have added a whole new dimension to the face of parties. There are lot of major players in the market who come with huge capital, but for a start up like ours, the USP is helping us stand out. In the initial days only upper class people would opt for such theme based parties but now we have takers from all classes as we provide packages right from a minimum of 500 rupees. With time, the market in Coimbatore is changing and evolving. People have begun extensively traveling, gaining access to new ideas. These concepts are no more alien to them. We have so far catered to all parts of India with our online store. The online presence works as a catalyst for us. When we started we were just two and now we have a team of 8 people working. Our only goal is to help people have a hassle free party without any stress" said Sunil.
