47 year old woman's vital organs harvested and transplanted at KMCH.

The surgeons of KMCH, Coimbatore harvested the vital organs of a 47 year old woman who was declared brain dead after meeting with a fatal accident. And the organs were transplanted to needy patients.

Mrs.Valliyammal had met with an accident on May 28, while she was travelling in a two wheeler. She rode as a pillion rider, and lost her balance and fell on the road and sustained a severe head injuries. She was rushed to KMCH, at Avanashi road, Coimbatore and all efforts by the team of doctors to revive her failed.

Though the family members were in deep mourning, her husband Mr.Krishnasamy and Son Mr.Manojkumar came forward to donate Mrs.Valliyammal's Organs to needy patients.

The donated heart and kidneys were transplanted to the three needy patients at KMCH Avinashi road. The Chairman of KMCH Nalla G Palanisamy thanked Mrs.Valliyammal's family for this noble and timely gesture.
