Three persons including two boys injured in cracker blast in house.

A 34-year-old man and his two minor sons were grievously injured when a huge quantity of crackers stocked in their house accidentally exploded at Muthukrishnapuram village in the district today.

Subbiah, cracker seller, reportedly had stocked huge quantity of crackers and aerial fireworks in his house for sale during temple festivals and functions. The crackers went off due to high pressure, causing severe damage to the house.

Subbiah and his two sons namely S Raja (7) and S Jeeva (5) who were inside the house at the time of blast were trapped under the debris. Neighbours rescued all the three and admitted them to the government medical college hospital at Palayamkottai where their condition is said to be critical.

Kadayanallur police have registered a case and further investigation is on.
