Tribals near Gudalur threaten road blockade if TASMAC outlet is not shifted out

Around 50 Tribal families living in Padanthurai,near Gudalur have petitioned District Collector P.Shankar praying to shift out the TASMAC outlet functioning in the area, which has become public nuisance to tribals of the area.

The tribal people, who thronged the Collectorate today said school children are scared of tipplers who congregate in this TASMAC outlet on all hours of the day. Workers and women too have been put to hardship due to the liquor outlet in the busy area.

Praying to close or shift out the TASMAC out let from their village,  the tribals warned that they would have to  resort to road blockade and agitation if their prayer is not heeded.
