57 Public Greivances Petitions received in Nilgiris District

As many as 57 petitions seeking redressal of public grievances  have been received and prompt remedial action would be carried out on these petitions said District collector ( Nilgiris district) P. Shankar.

The Public Grievances day meet was held at the Collectorate campus here in which petitions were submitted to the collector seeking road, drinking water and rural electrification facilities. Petitions were also received on educational and entrepruenial loans, old age pension, sanction of free house pattas for the depressed classes.

The petitions would be sent to the concerned departments and remedial action taken within a month, the collector said.
