The World famous Maharaja Express makes its way to the South on July 1st!

IRCTC's world famous Maharaja Express will be plying in South India for the first time on July 1st. It is a renowned tourist train that usually traverses from Mumbai to to the regions of Jaipur, Jodhpur and Agra. In its tour of South India, it wil be travelling from Trivandrum to Karrakuddi, Chettinad, Mysore, Goa and Mumbai.

The tickets to this luxury train are highly priced. The deluxe cabin is priced at Rs. 5,06,080, the junior suite is Rs. 7,33,420, the suite class is Rs.10,09,330 and the residential suite is Rs.17,33,410. If one person buys a ticket, the other gains access to this opulent travel absolutely free.

It is a 8 day package, in which the fare includes food, accommodation, stops at 5 star hotels, and entrance fees to tourist hotspots.

Apart from this pricey package, there is also a 3 day package, which is slightly more affordable. It is priced at 66,500 for two people and 53,200 for one.

It is a high technology train, and one its unique features is that food is served on gold plates. There are provisions for cinema shooting, fashion shows and corporate events to take place as well.
