Pollachi Jeyaraman inagurates Summer Festival at Valparai

Pollachi Jeyaraman, Deputy Speaker of Tamilandu assembly inaugurated the summer festival at Valparai

Speaking on the occasion Pollachi Jeyaraman  said that the Valparai is the heart of kongu region and it has played a vital role in providing irrigation facilities to Coimbatore, Tiruppur and Erode district. The waters of Azhyar rand Tirumurthi dams, have benefited the farming community. The rains received here have also been used for Madathukulam, Udumalai, Kudimangalam and Pollachi drinking water projects.



Jeyaraman also inaugurated an exhibition organized by Tamilnadu Tea Plantation Corporation and viewed the exhibits.

The summer festival has attracted many tourists over the years and it would continue to do so in future too he said. Legislators and officials took part in the function.
