Road block against establishing TASMAC outlet in farm lands.

Protestors staged a road block at Singanallur - Vellalloor road condemning against the setting up of a new TASMAC outlet in the vicinity.

According to the protestor a TASMAC outlet which functioned in the highway in Singanallur was shifted out and it was established on Singanallur - Vellalloor road despite opposition by the locals.

Arguing that the new TASMAC outlet was set up on agricultural lands, the protestors said that many petitions submitted to the District Collector TN Hariharan registered our protest to the upcoming TASMAC outlet.

“The protests would continue until the said TASMAC out let was shifted out” they said.

Opposition political parties including DMK and CPM have lent their moral support to the people’s protest against the TASMAC outlet established on agricultural lands.
