Nilgiris court issues non-bailable warrants to 8 Tamil actors


The Nilgiris District Judicial Magistrate Court has issued a non-bailable warrant to 8 Tamil actors including Surya, Sathyaraj, Sarathkumar, Vivek, and Vijayakumar and Sripriya for contempt of court.

A case was filed by one Rosario in the Judicial Magistrate court in Nilgiris  on the said Tamil actors for slandering journalists their speeches in a meeting held at Nadigar sangam in Chennai in 2009.

As the actors have failed to respond to the repeated court summons and failed to appear before the magistrate, the court issued a non-bailable arrest warrant to the actors.
