Official teams formed to check private and self-financing schools during admission


"The private schools which do not follow the reservation system while admitting children  belonging to SC/ST and OBCs would be taken to task. A special team consisting of Adidravida welfare officials are conducting surprise checks in private and Aided school to ensure that these schools follow the reservation system  and are not flouting the norms", said Thenmozhi, Chief Educational Officer.

The team headed by Mohan, Deputy Director of Adidravida welfare, which  carried out the inspection in St.Mary`s Higher Secondary School in Tiruchy later told the media that official have been engaged in checking whether children belonging to depressed classes are given seats and choice of elective groups for plus two students are provided, as per the reservation policy.

The team of officials will continue to conduct surprise checks in private and self-financing schools which come under the purview of the reservation policy.
