The harsh summer heat has been subjecting Coimbatore to water scarcity over the past few months. In an effort to mitigate the problem at hand, the Coimbatore Municipality had set up a water tank for public use.
The water tank is located on the pavement outside the Coimbatore Municipality and close to the bus stand. This tank, however, poses a hindrance to people who commute through this route, forcing them to use the roads. The residents and commuters of this region have requested authorities to shift the tank into the municipality compound, making way on the footpath.
