A private college student has committed suicide by drowning himself in Ukkadam Big tank under duress. The said student was studying B.com in a private college in Kuniamuthur area.
The student who came to the tank last evening had entered the tank to commit suicide when he was spotted by fishermen and rescued. The fishermen who saved him advised him to go back home.
But it seemed the youth had attempted suicide for a second time and entered the tank and was drowned.
It is learnt the youth had taken the extreme step after leaving a suicide note in which he has mentioned that he was taking the extreme step as has lost the will to live. Police recovered the body this morning.
