Government fixes standard fee structure until grade 10

The government has fixed a standard fee structure until Grade 10. The specifications are:

LKG fee - 3750

UKG fee - 3750

1st Standard fee - 4550

2nd Standard fee - 4550

3rd Standard fee - 4550

4th Standard fee - 4550

5th Standard fee - 4550

6th Standard fee - 5050

7th Standard fee - 5050

8th Standard fee - 5050

9th Standard fee- 6300

10th Standard fee - 6300

A complaint can be registered against schools deviating from the specified fee structure with the District Collector, School Director, Matriculation School Director, Matriculation Schools Co-Director, Matriculation School Inspector, Primary Educational Officer, District Primary Education Officer, District Educational Officer or the Assistant Primary Education Officer. If stringent action is not taken, a case can be filed with the Chennai High Court.

Furthermore, the government has allocated 30 slots under the Free and Compulsory Education Act of 2009, Section 12 (1) (C), for free lower kindergarten education under the 25% reservation category.
