Why actor Rajnikanth has not spoken in favor of fellow actor Sathyaraj, when Kannada chauvinists threatened to boycott his film “Baahubali 2” in Karnataka? SP Velumani, Minister of Municipalities and Rural Development demanded to know.
While briefing the media at the city airport the minister said Kannada chauvinists have threatened boycott Baahubali in which Sathyaraj has acted for the sole reason that the latter had expressed his strong opinions against Karnataka when Cauvery water row was at its peak.
The minister also condemned Rajnikanth for criticizing the present Government, during his meeting with his fan association members.
"Even though the actor had praised those who had criticized him earlier, he had only expressed negative opinions about the present Government.“ The actor should take into account the good law and order and governance given by the present Government before expressing his views. Otherwise actors like him who hailed from Karnataka could not live here safely” SP Velumani said.
